Who is Golf On Camera?

When it comes to golf, I have always wanted to play down any hype people have tried to make around me. When I decided to make a golf Instagram in 2015, I felt much more comfortable making a page where people could follow my story whilst I went under an alias.

Instagram gave me the platform to be noticed, not just locally but from all different parts of the world. Over the 15 years I have played golf, I have experienced everything from beginner golf, all the way to playing on small professional tours in the UK. Now back as an amateur, I feel I have more of a story to tell.

Golf On Camera turned into something I never thought it would. I have made contacts all over the world, now giving players a platform to be noticed and show off their skills. True to form, over the past 3 years I have used my Instagram more to promote other players than myself.

I ventured into YouTube in 2015/16 on the request of a friend/Follower, they wanted to follow my story through video rather than what I posted on Instagram. This opened up a lot of opportunities for friends to take their chance to feature in videos.

It's always been important to me to be honest, along the way I have opened up on camera. I spoke about experiences and shared stories of how I got to this point. I always find it crazy that even one person would take their time to watch my videos, let alone follow my journey. The response I get off of comments and face to face, has always been positive and kept me posting.

Now I am taking Golf On Camera into something I have never tried, which is writing.

Why have I decided to write?

I have decided to write because I can help with my story. The idea of taking my time to get my point across now appeals to me more. Impacting on other golfers games is my aim with this blog. A more complete player is someone that can inspire others, in which ever way possible.

This blog will be used to continue giving my story through this game. I am lucky enough to be in a position to play different courses through the year. I can bring my reviews on courses as well as my experience on the golf club as a whole.

As you are probably aware, there is no set guideline to where this will take me, or what I can write about. I can guarantee, I will always give my honest opinions on my experiences. I will not write about subjects where I am guessing, or just to be relevant.
